U-16 Academy Cup

POKHARA: Nepal Cricket School United and Kasthamandap Cricket Academy registered wins in the Sponsor U-16 Academy Cup on Wednesday.

Nepal Cricket School saw off Pokhara Cricket Academy by 25 runs in Group B match, while Kasthamandap defeated Syangja Cricket Academy ‘A’ by nine runs in Group A match.

Opting to bat first, Nepal Cricket School scored 140-8 in their allotted 20 overs before packing Pokhara for 115-8.

Nepal Cricket School posted a fighting total riding on skipper Gautam Rit’s 45-ball 56 that included seven boundaries and a six. In reply, Pokhara skipper Mekh Bahadur Sen was the lone batsman to score in double figures. He scored 44-ball 50 with the help of seven boundaries and two sixes.

In another match, Kasthamandap scored 112-8 with Surendra Basnet scoring 43 off 59 balls hitting four boundaries and a six. Ram Suresh Yadav contributed 25 off 29 with the help of two each fours and sixes. In reply, Syangja were packed for 103 runs in 18.3 overs. Sangam Gautam scored 36-ball 33 hitting three boundaries and a six and skipper Janam Godar hit 20 off 22 that included two fours and a six.
