Shrestha re-elected

The second Annual General Assembly of Nepal Hockey Association on Thursday unanimously elected a 17-member executive committee under Umesh Lal Shrestha, who has been at the helm of the body for 22 years.
Anil Prasad Sharma and Manish Jha were elected Vice-presidents, while Sunil Prasad Pradhan was elected as General Secretary and Ranjan Thapa the Secretary. Amrish Pradhan got the responsibility of Treasurer, while Deepak Pradhan, Bijay Bahadur Swar, Nabin Rijal, Rameshwor Prasad Ghimire, Bhagawati Kumari Khadka, Bijayant Sharma, Shambhu Prasad Rijal, Baburam Shahi, Padam Chand, Sanjay Kumar Mandal and Manof Kumar Sharma were elected as Members.
A total of 57 representatives — two each from 17 out of 19 district bodies and 22 officials of the previous committee — took part in the AGM. The first meeting decided to nominate Rajendra Shrestha, Himal Khadka and Prakash Siwakoti as the Vice-presidents, while Ashim Sharma and Rajendra Pathak were added as Members. Vice-president of NSC Lama Tendi Sherpa and Nepal Olympic Committee Vice-president Purendra Bikram Lakhe handed over certificates to the elected office bearers.
