LALITPUR: Siddhartha Vanasthali Institute and Amar English School entered the Group A final of the Coca Cola Nationwide Inter-school Football Tournament qualifiers here today. Vanasthali beat St Xavier’s (Godavari) 3-1 and Amar defeated Guheshwori 3-0. Kumar Lama of Vanasthali opened the scoring in the seventh minute and Krishna Poudel doubled the lead in the 29th. Harshan Rana made it 3-0 in the 51st, while Chhoigen Lama pulled one back for St Xavier’s in the 75th.

Sri Krishna Shrestha put Amar ahead in the 13th, while Suraj Shrestha doubled the tally in the 51st minute and Umesh Shrestha sealed the victory in the 80th minute.

In Group B matches, Malpi International School routed Namuna English School 5-0; Peace Nepal Academy beat Bal Byabasayi School 6-1; Kumari Sishu Sadan defeated Brighter Star School 2-1; and Motherland School beat Nandi School 4-1.
