KATHMANDU: Padmodaya Youth Club is organising the Padmodaya Invitational Men’s Volleyball Tournament from March 6-9 in Chitwan. A total of eight teams — Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Nepal APF Club, and teams from Bhutan, Bangladesh and India — will compete in the tournament, informed the organisers at a press meet on Tuesday. The winners will be awarded with Rs 150,000, while the runners-up will receive Rs 100,000 and the third-placed finisher will get Rs 50,000. The estimated budget for the tournament is Rs 2.6 million and the organisers said they would manage the amount from local sponsors and well-wishers of the club.
