Wet weather wipes out fourth morning in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Wet weather and soggy conditions continued to delay the second test between India and South Africa on Tuesday, with no play possible on the fourth morning at Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

After two days were lost to rain, the downpours relented in the morning but the wet outfield, especially along the run-up areas, remained a concern for the umpires, who inspected conditions at 10 a.m. (0430 GMT)

"There will be another inspection at 11:30. That means we have lost the first session yet again," the Indian cricket board tweeted.

India, who lead the four-match series 1-0, will resume on 80 without loss after dismissing South Africa for 214 on the opening day of the test.
