KATHMANDU: Zenith, Neric, Hims and Greenfield won their senior boys’ section matches of the 19th Wilson Hoops Inter-school Basketball Tournament here at the Wilson Academy courts on Saturday.

Zebith defeated Gaurishankar 44-32 riding in 25 points from Bimoursh, while Sajan Thapa netted 15 points as Neric outplayed TIA 37-34. Likewise, Jwel Rai scored 13 points in Hims’ 31-6 victory over Wisdon, whereas Greenfield thrashed Wilson ‘B’ 22-6 in which Saurav Poudel scored 10 points for the winning team.

In girls section, TIA beat Zenith 29-16 riding on 12 points from Reena Bhandari, while Rina Bhandari netted 12 points as Reliance hammered Siddhartha Vanasthali 42-5. In junior boys’ category match, Abhishek Shrestha netted nine points to help Gyan Niketan beat Laxmipur 21-14. — HNS
