KATHMANDU: Neric and HIMS entered the boys’ section semi-finals of the 15th Wilson Hoops Inter-school Basketball Tournament here on Friday.

Ankit Bhandari scored 23 points as Neric defeated Mount Kailash 65-41, while HIMS beat Himalayan 62-41 riding on 27 points from Tenzing Thapke. In the girls’ section, Valley Public, HHCA, Shree Dewa and New Vision made it to the last four. Pratikshya Magar netted 14 points as Valley Public thrashed British School 36-9, while Sushila Tamang scored 16 in HHCA’s 36-33 victory over Baba.

Likewise, Manisha Gurung scored eight points as New Vision beat Malpi 23-22, whereas Shree Dewa outplayed TIA 38-28 riding on Rita Sherpa’s 15 points. In junior boys’ section, Deepak Ale Magar scored nine points as Neric defeated White Field 28-11 and Deewas Adhikari netted 13 in Rupy’s 22-14 victory over Wisdon to enter the semi-finals.
