Aadit Subedi and Samrakshyak Bhushan Bajracharya recorded wins in boys’ U-16 section matches of the first ANLTA-JTI National Junior Tennis Tournament here at the Satdobato Tennis Complex today.

Subedi saw off Nishan Shrestha 6-2, 6-1 and Bajracharya bagged a double bagel against Evyak Joshi.

In other matches, Samragya Katawal beat Nin Waam Rai 6-3, 6-3, Samyak Bhushan Bajracharya outplayed Shreyash Agarawal 6-1, 6-1 and Pranav Khanal recorded a 6-1, 6-3 win against Aadit Subedi.

In boys’ U-14 section, Nishan Shrestha outplayed Aramba Swar 6-1, 6-0 and Aarav Hada earned a walkover win from Aditya Agrawal. In girls’ category, Lumu T Lama recorded a 1-6, 7-5, 6-4 win over Aisha D Gurung, while Isha Shree Shah beat Prakriti Shrestha 6-2, 6-0, Sharvani Shrestha outplayed Shruti Tamang 6-0, 6-2, Shubhangee L Shah beat Sneha Yadav 6-3, 6-3 and Rayana Shah got walkover from Suravi Katawal. In girls’ U-16 section, Prakriti Shrestha earned a walkover win from Suravi Katawal.

Meanwhile, Boris Adhikari beat Nishad Joshi 7-10, 16-14, 10-6 to win the boys’ U-8 section category title, while Samridhi Maharjan claimed girls’ section trophy with a 10-6, 10-5 victory over Supriya Tamang.

Similarly, Ayushman Ghale, Aarav Hada, Rajbir Pradhan and Sakshyam Shah won their boys’ U-10 section matches, while Eva Adhikari and Roshani Limbu registered wins in the girls’ U-10 category matches.
