KATHMANDU: Yan Kumari Chaulagain won gold medal in the Toronto Open Taekwondo Championship in Canada on Monday.

In the women’s 57kg category final, Chaulagain defeated Canada’s Lauzon Lauriane and bagged the gold medal.

Gyani Chunara faced defeat at the hands of Schrunder Isabella of Cuba in the first match of the below-62kg, while Rejina Karki lost to Chan Crystal of Canada in her first match of the 49kg event.
