Yeti Airlines began The Himalayan Times Corporate Beach Cricket Tournament campaign with double victories at the Riverside Springs Resort today.

Yeti Airlines defeated Save the Children by three wickets and returned to beat IME by 103 runs. In the first match, yeti Airlines restricted Save the Children to 53-2 in five overs before racing to 54-2. In another match, yeti Airlines scored a mammoth 132-1 in five overs, while IME managed just 27-4.

In other matches, main sponsors The Himalayan Times, You We Home, Shanker Group, Brain Digit IT and WWF registered victories. THT defeated Ruslan Cricket by three wickets. Batting first, Ruslan scored 93-2 before THT reached 94-3 with five balls to spare.

You We Home defeated Tropical Exotic by 27 runs. You We Home scored 93-2 and restricted Tropical Exotic to 66-4.

Also, Shanker Group edged past IME by two wickets. IME scored 58-3 in five overs after they elected to bat first, while Shanker Group raced to 62-2. In another match, Brain Digit IT restricted Casino Mahjong to 60-2 and raced to 61-2 to register a three-wicket victory. Likewise, WWF outplayed News24 by 60 runs. WWF scored 109 without losing a wicket, while News24 managed 49-3.

In all, 14 teams are competing in the two-day event organised by Zohra Sports Management.
