Khotang, May 12

The District Administration Office, Khotang has directed contractors concerned to blacktop the Diktel-Halesi and Jayaram-Halesi road sections along the Mid-hill Highway soon.

Lumbini Kankai Surya Construction has been awarded the contract to blacktop 12 km of Halesi-Bijule road whereas Lama Nagarjun Construction is responsible for blacktopping 12 km of Bijule-Hurlung road along the Mid-hill Highway.

Similarly, Lama Nagarjun Trisuli has the contract to blacktop 11.4 km of Hurlung-Diktel road, while Rauta Construction and Surya Construction are responsible for blacktopping 18 km of Jayaram-Halesi road.

The administration issued the directive during an all-party meeting held in the district. “Locals have complained that contractors of the project are unnecessarily delaying construction work. So, the contractors have been strongly directed to complete their work soon and maintain quality,” said Chief District Officer of Khotang Pralhad Pokhrel.

The DAO stated that it also directed the concerned contractor of Dudhkoshi Bridge at Jayaramghat to complete the bridge at the earliest as the project had already been delayed by four years.
