Jha not to take oath forcefully

KATHMANDU: Vice President Paramananda Jha reiterated that he could not be forced to take the oath of office in Nepali.

“I will not be forced to take the oath in Nepali, but I am ready to take it time and again if it is the want of the Nepali people,” he told mediapersons. He claimed that he had no lust for power.

“We cannot win anyone’s heart forcefully,” Jha added. He said he would not abide by the court verdict as it was biased. “If the verdict was just, I would have had no hesitation to abide by it,” Jha explained.

Vice President Jha said he could speak Nepali but would not be forced by anyone to speak the language. Jha added: “I will take my decision at an appropriate time.”
