Province 4 governor Kunwar welcomed in Pokhara

POKHARA: Governor of Province 4 Baburam Kunwar was welcomed in Pokhara on Saturday. Kunwar arrived in Pokhara, after he along with six other province chiefs were administered oath of office and secrecy by Preisdent Bidya Devi Bhandari on Friday.

Regional Administrator Laxman Aryal, Chief District Officer of Kaski district Taranath Adhikari, the chiefs of Pokhara-based various offices and security officials welcomed Province Chief Kunwar at the VVIP lounge at Pokhara Airport.

Talking briefly to journalists at the airport, Kunwar said the Province No 4 can be taken ahead on the path of prosperity by utilising tourism and water resources.

He said that he would administer the oath of office to the senior-most member of the Province Assembly as stipulated by the constitution on Sunday.

Chief of the Regional Election Office, Ganga Lal Subedi said that the Province Chief would administer the oath of office and secrecy to the eldest member of the Province Assembly, Janak Lal Shrestha at 9 am on Sunday. The swearing in of the senior-most member of the Province Assembly will take place at the Province Chief's office at local Pardi. The senior-most member will then administer oath of office and secrecy to all the other members of the Province Assembly at 10 am at the Municipality Training Office.

Chief District Officer Taranath Adhikari said the necessary preparations have been made for swearing in of the members of the Province Assembly.
