The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Sabahang Tabebung Limbu aka Tiger of Phurumbu of Phuling Municipality-10.

A group of two to three persons attacked Limbu with Khukuri inflicting deep cut injuries to his abdomen at a coffee house at around 7:30 am yesterday, according to the Taplejung District Police Office.

Limbu breathed his last on the way to the district hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, police arrested Suman Limbu, one of the suspected attackers from the incident site while other gang members involved are absconding, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ram Bahadur KC said.
