Black Cats on AI flights to US?

New Delhi, April 16:

India’s international carrier Air India is looking at deploying the country’s elite Black Cat commandos aboard its flights to the United States, an airline spokesman said today.

The move is to meet security regulations and not because of any perceived threat, the spokesman told AFP.

"If you want to fly to the US, you have to comply with their rules," he said. The Indian Express daily said the plan was being considered after the US department of homeland security had told India any "suspect aircraft" would have to return at short notice unless law enforcement officials were on board. The carrier operates 20 flights a week to the United States and is planning to add three more weekly flights to Los Angeles from June.
