KATHMANDU: Two persons were arrested from Balaju of Kathmandu for illegally trading petrol, taking advantage of the current shortage.

Police also seized 720 litres of the fuel from Abdul Rasid (55) from Shreepur-8 of Saptari and Indra Kumar Lama (42) from Thulo Pakaha-1 of Sindhupalchok district.

They were found selling petrol nearby the Ganga Film Hall in Balaju, KMC-14 from a van (Ba 13 Cha 1021), on Tuesday.

Further investigation is underway.
