KATHMANDU, JANUARY 30
France has decided to close borders to countries outside of the European Union.
Only travels of essential nature would be allowed after the closing of borders, a restrictive measure taken by the French government in a bid to limit the spread of new variant.
French Prime Minister Jean Castex while announcing the travel ban, however, clarified that an anticipated third lockdown would not be announced now.
The new restriction will come into force from Sunday.
Meanwhile, the French PM was quoted as saying in the AFP that the "next few days will be decisive" in terms of possible new safety regulations.
