J-K blast kills six

Srinagar: A car bomb claimed by Islamic terrorists exploded in the heart of Jammu and Kashmir’s summer capital Srinagar early today, killing four soldiers and a civilian and injuring 21 other people, police and medical sources said.

The explosion outside a school in a high security zone was caused by a car bomb that targeted two passing security force vehicles, Kashmir police chief Gopal Sharma told reporters at the scene.— AFP
