President Megawati Sukarnoputri has offered the first insight into her criteria

for choosing a running mate in the upcoming election, saying the candidate must be a handsome loyalist.

"Even before being chosen as a running mate, some potential candidates are already mocking me," Megawati complained. "If they speak ill of me everyday, then I will of course be offended. "In her speech to thousands of supporters, she did not name anyone as a potential running mate. She only said they must be as "beautiful" as her. "I am quite beautiful ... it is natural to have a good-looking and qualified vice-president," she joked.
