Prez Xi in South Africa

PRETORIA: Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived here Wednesday for a state visit to South Africa before co-chairing the Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. The China-South Africa comprehensive strategic partnership is witnessing rapid development, and relations between the two countries have entered the best times in history, Xi said upon his arrival after concluding a two-day visit to Zimbabwe. The Chinese president said he expects to have in-depth exchange of views with his South African counterpart, Jacob Zuma, on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common interest, so as to push the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level. Xi is on his second visit to the “rainbow nation” as China’s head of state.
