Suicide attack kills at least 11 south of Baghdad

BAGHDAD: Iraqi officials say a suicide bomber has blown up an explosives-laden fuel truck south of Baghdad, killing at least 11 people.

A police officer says that four civilians were killed in Sunday's attack in the city of Hillah, while the rest of the dead were members of the security forces. He added that up to 30 other people were wounded. Hillah is located about 95 kilometers (60 miles) south of Baghdad.

A medical official confirmed the causality figures. Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to release information.
