India takes exception

NEW DELHI: India has objected to a recent resolution passed by Organisation of Islamic Conference, wherein the Foreign Ministers of the member nations have termed the 26/11 strikes as a mere ‘incident’. A press statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs on Friday termed the OIC comment as an infringement of India’s internal affairs. “We note with regret that the OIC has chosen to comment on India’s internal affairs during its 36 session of council of Foreign Ministers held in Syria from 23rd to 25th May. The OIC has no locus standi on India’s internal affairs,” said the statement. — HNS
