Two missionaries drown, priest attacked
Patna: A boat carrying missionaries capsized in the Ganges in Bihar, killing two of them, the same day that a Christian priest was seriously injured in another part of the state probably because he could not meet an extortion demand. Both incidents took place on Monday. In the first incident, LN Mathew from Chennai and Pal Raj from Nagaland drowned when their boat capsized in Munger. Three of their woman colleagues were saved by fishermen. In the second incident, Father Mathew Ujaytal was attacked with a sharp weapon and seriously injured near the gate of his church in Mokama late on Monday. — HNS
