Dhaka Travel Mart

KATHMANDU: The three-day international tourism fair ‘Dhaka Travel Mart 2018’, which began on March 22, in Dhaka, concluded today.

AKM Shajahan Kamal, minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism of Bangladesh, had formally inaugurated the fair. On the occasion, Minister Kamal appreciated the support that Bangladesh had received post US Bangla crash and stated that it is now Bangladesh’s turn to support Nepal. He also stressed on mutual tourism promotion as for many Bagladeshis, Nepal is a favourite destination.

The fair was organised for the 15th time this year by the Bangladesh Monitor, a premier travel and tourism publication. Forty-eight organisations from different countries including Nepal and host Bangladesh participated through five pavilions and 60 booths. The Nepal stall was decorated with Nepali products and a promotional video made by Nepal Tourism Board was played throughout event. Visitors were given card drives, posters, maps and travellers’ information booklets.

NTB participated with seven travel tour companies including Kuti Resort, B-Line Tours and Travels, Hotel  Annapurna, All Seasons Adventure, Regulus Treks and Expedition, Sealinks Travels and Tours, and Saraogi Travels. — HNS
