4 theft cases reported in Capital
KATHMANDU: Four incidents of property crime were reported in the Capital on Tuesday, police said.
Cash and gold ornaments worth around Rs 330,000 were stolen from the house of Pushpa Joshi in Tokha Municipality-14.
According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified thieves barged into the house after breaking the bolt of the main door and whisked away with Rs 20,000 in cash and various gold ornaments.
Similarly, property worth around Rs 162,000 was stolen from the unattended rented room of Shova Bhandari Panthi in Tokha Municipality-9.
Police said that Rs 12,000 in cash and various gold ornaments were stolen from Panthi's room.
Likewise, a trident, a bell and a sound speaker among other valuable things were stolen from a Shiva Temple in Ujjwal Tole of Pepsicola, KMC-11.
In yet another incident, cash and valuables worth around Rs 124,000 were stolen from the mobile store of Nabin SubediĀ in Imadole Bahundhara Chowk of Lalitpur.
According to a complaint lodged with police, Rs 53,000 in cash, a laptop and a mobile set among others were stolen from the store.
Police said that they are looking into all cases.
