KATHMANDU: The Human Rights and Peace Society has drawn the attention of the government towards the deteriorating health condition of Prof Dr Mahesh Kumar Gajurel, while urging it to resolve the problem through dialogue.

Dr Gajurel has been on a hunger strike since September 27 demanding contract-based appointment to part-time university teachers. "Considering the deteriorating health of Dr Gajurel, the government should act before the happening of any unfortunate incident," reads a statement issued by the Society.
