Book Fair to begin from August 21
KATHMANDU, August 13
Global Exposition and Management Services Pvt Ltd is organising the 19th Nepal International Book Fair 2015 from August 21 for nine days at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall, Kathmandu.
A press statement issued here on Thursday said that reading has always been an integral part of human civilisation. “The significance of reading books is that one gains new insights and the change in perception of readers is helping them have a new understanding of the world around them,” reads the statement.
The exhibition will be held in cooperation with Federation of Nepal Books and Stationery Business while moving on with the campaign ‘Bringing you closer to books’.
There will be 55 national and 20 international exhibitors in around 125 stalls.
Hundreds of titles by hundreds of writers and authors, whose works explore the beauty, contradictions, uniqueness and weirdness of life and experience will be on display and sale at the exhibition.
It further said that there will be activities such as book signing ceremony, book release, authors’ programme, literacy and learning activities for children, demonstrations for quality book printing and many more.
According to the statement, the entry to the exhibition is completely free this year.
