KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Kamal Thapa has opined for forwarding the Constitution amendment bill only after forging consensus among political parties.

While receiving a memorandum submitted by the Reporters' Club calling for forging consensus on the amendment bill at the central office of the party today, Chairman Thapa said that the political environment might be deteriorated more if the bill was forwarded in the present situation in its current form.

He added that though the Supreme Court verdict had opened the way for discussions on the bill, it was not only the matter of constitutional or legal issue; but apparently a political concern.
