Graft case filed against ex-APF chief Shrestha among 4
KATHMANDU: The Commission of the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Sunday filed a corruption case at the Special Court against four persons including former chief of Armed Police Force (APF) Shailendra Kumar Shrestha.
Besides Shrestha, the Commission has named APF Inspector Tak Man Mahara, DSP Ram Chandra Shrestha and trader Bharat Kumar Thapa of Aditi Transport as defendants.
They are accused of producing fake bills and documents to embezzle millions of rupees from the state coffers.
According the CIAA, it has sought a fine of Rs 8 million from them.
Earlier on February 1, the anti-graft constitutional body had filed a graft case corruption case at the Special Court against the suspended Armed Police Force Inspector General Kosh Raj Onta and 10 others.
