HLPCC meet ends inconclusively

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the High-Level Political Coordination Committee (HLPCC) called by the UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday morning ended without making a concrete decision.

Though the meeting discussed government's performance, issues raised by the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) and formation of a political committee to address the demands of the Front, the meeting failed make the solid decision on the issues.

Emerging from the meeting, CPN-UML senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal said that the meeting to be held this afternoon would hold further discussions on the agendas.

Dahal is also the coordinator of the Committee.

HLPCC is the alliance of members of ruling coalition.

It has been learned that the next meeting of the Committee has been called for 5 pm today.
