House holds meeting

KATHMANDU: The Legislature-Parliament began its meeting at the Constituent Assembly hall on Sunday notwithstanding the general shutdown imposed by the CPN-Maoist and Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum.

In the meeting, lawmakers drew the attention of House and government towards the use of force by the security personnel during ongoing protests against the purported six Pradeshes and demarcation of their borders, in different parts of the country.

Speaker Subas Chandra Nembang has directed the Ministry of Home Affairs to answer the lawmakers in the next meeting of House.

Also, speaking in the zero hour, some lawmakers raised concerns over various issues in their constituencies.
