KATHMANDU: Police arrested notorious gangster Rajiv Gurung alias Deepak Manange and his accomplice Rajiv Kumar Singh from Kathmandu on extortion charges.

A special team deployed from the Nepal Police's Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, nabbed Manange and Singh from Thamel at around 8 pm on Thursday.

They were allegedly involved in extorting money from businesspersons and realtors, DSP Rabindra Regmi of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Range, Kathmandu.
