People march to raise climate crisis concerns

KATHMANDU: Hundreds of people gathered in Bhrikutimandap for the People's Climate March to show solidarity towards the contemporary climate issues of the planet earth, on Saturday.

Holding placards and chanting slogans about climate change issues, they have also taken out a march from Bhrikutimandap.

Nepali as well as foreign citizens participated in the programme to address the climate crisis.

The programme was jointly organised by different organisations such as BYND2015- Nepal Hub, Car Free Cities, Debate Yatra, Digo Bikas Institute, Himalayan Climate Initiative, Nepalese Youth for Climate Action, Jiwanta Nepal, We Inspire Nepal, Youth Alliance for Environment (YAE) and YUWA.

The programme will be organised on November 29 as well.

It is learned that the march was organised in accordance to the 21st Conference of Parties (COP), which is scheduled to be held on November 30 in Paris.
