Task-forces asked to submit report within 15 days

KATHMANDU: The two task-forces β€” formed to assert political guideline and organisational structure of the new communist party of Nepal after unification between CPN-UML and CPN Maoist Centre β€” have been asked to submit reports within 15 days.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the CPN Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal participated in the meeting of both task-forces held on Thursday at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar.

β€œThe duo jointly directed the task-forces to submit the reports along with the unification draft,” said UML Secretary Pradip Gyawali.

The Party Unification Coordination Committee had formed task-forces on February 19, 2018.

Likewise, the meeting has entrusted UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal to lead and assist the task-forces to prepare a political report, while the Maoist Centre leader Ram Bahadur Thapa has been called to undertake the preparation of interim statute draft.
