KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three persons for kidnapping a 15-year-old from Shantinagar of Tarakeshwor Municipality-19 on Friday.

The arrestees have been identified as Dewan Gauchan (24), Biswas Sherchan (26), Dipak Pun (25) of Myagdi district.

The trio were arrested by a team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju, after receiving information of Rajan Maharjan's kidnap.

Meanwhile, the 15-year-old has been rescued.

According to police, the trio had reached the victim's house in Tarakeshwor Municipality-19 on a motorcycle (Ba 80 Pa 9997) and a scooter (Ba 70 Pa 8603) to kidnap Maharjan.

Police are further investigating into the case.
