KATHMANDU, JANUARY 17

SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Company Limited has concluded its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM), approving a 13 percent cash dividend (inclusive of tax) for the fiscal year 2081/82.

The AGM was held at Hotel Harrison Palace in Biratnagar under the chairmanship of Board Chairman Keshav Prasad Bhattarai, with the participation of directors, senior management, shareholders, and invited guests.

The meeting unanimously endorsed the company's annual report, audited financial statements, profit and loss account, cash flow statement, and auditor's report for the fiscal year after detailed deliberations. Expenditures made under the company's corporate social responsibility programmes were also approved.

Addressing the shareholders, Chairman Bhattarai highlighted the company's financial progress, strategic direction, and commitment to digital transformation. He attributed the company's growth to shareholder trust, customer confidence, and the dedication of employees and agents.

SuryaJyoti Life currently has a paid-up capital of Rs 5.01 billion, a life insurance fund of Rs 43.83 billion, total investments of Rs 48.45 billion, and a net worth of Rs 6.74 billion. The company serves over 3.58 million policyholders through 176 branches and a network of more than 106,000 agents nationwide.
