KATHMANDU, JANUARY 17
MetLife Nepal has expanded its agency network with the opening of three new offices in Bardibas (Mahottari), Pathari (Morang), and Baglung, strengthening access to life insurance and financial protection services in regional communities.
The newly established agency offices aim to bring personalized insurance guidance and timely services closer to families and small businesses that previously had limited access to such facilities.
MetLife Nepal said the expansion will also contribute to local economic activity by creating employment opportunities and promoting careers in the insurance sector, while improving financial literacy at the community level.
Speaking on the occasion, MetLife Nepal General Manager Nirmal Kajee Shrestha said the expansion reflects the company's focus on strengthening financial resilience at the grassroots. He noted that local access to insurance services enables families to make informed decisions and plan for long-term goals such as education and retirement.
MetLife has been operating in Nepal since 2001, providing life, accident and health insurance, and employee benefit solutions. The company stated that expanding its agency presence in strategic locations is part of its commitment to inclusive growth and long-term financial security for Nepali citizens.
