KATHMANDU, JANUARY 2
MetLife Nepal has contributed Rs 2.5 million to the Government of Nepal's Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund, reinforcing private-sector support for post-disaster rebuilding and national infrastructure recovery.
The contribution was formally handed over to Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal earlier this week. MetLife Nepal said the donation reflects its commitment to community resilience and long-term development in the country.
Operating in Nepal since 2001, MetLife provides life, accident, and health insurance, as well as employee benefit solutions. The company stated that supporting national reconstruction efforts is part of its broader social responsibility agenda.
The Reconstruction Fund supports the rehabilitation of damaged public infrastructure, particularly in areas affected by natural disasters.
