UCPN-M picks Nanda Kishor Pun as Veep candidate
KATHMANDU: The UCPN-Maoist has decided to field party’s Standing Committee member Nanda Kishor Pun as candidate for the election of Vice President.
The Standing Committ meeting held at party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s residence in Lazimpat this morning decided to pick Pun as the party’s candidate for the Vice-President, UCPN-Maoist spokesperson Dinanath Sharma said.
It has been learned that Chairman Dahal proposed the name of Pun as the Vice-President candidate to maintain a power balance in the party and the SC members seconded Dahal’s proposal.
