KATHMANDU: Police have apprehended three suspects after a woman was found dead at a local hotel in Sundhara on Saturday morning.

According to police, those arrested have been identified as Bishal Khadka, permanent resident of Sindhuli district, and his friends Bipin Mainali and Asab Sewa. Khadka is said to be the lover of the deceased Sharmila Raut.

According to police, they had reached the hotel at 3:00 am in an inebriated state. Khadka had slept in the same room with Raut while Mainali and Sewa had slept in a room on the third floor of the same hotel.

Khadka has told police that he found Raut hanging from the ceiling fan when he woke up in the morning.

However, the woman's relatives suspect that Raut was murdered.

The three men have been taken into custody for investigation into the incident while the woman's body has been taken to a local hospital for post-mortem, informed Tekunanta Limbu, Deputy Superintendent at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Janasewa.
