KATHMANDU: A youth died in a truck-bike collision in Ekantakuna of LSMC-13 in Lalitpur district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Pasang Sherpa (21), a permanent resident of Solukhumbu and currently residing in Kapan of Kathmandu.

The truck (Na 4 Kha 4327) had hit the motorbike (Ba 40 Pa 6505) along the ring road today, leaving Sherpa seriously injured. He was riding pillion on the two-wheeler.

The victim died while undergoing treatment at Ganesh Man Singh Memorial Hospital, Mahalaxmisthan.

Police, meanwhile, arrested the truck driver and impounded the vehicle.

Further investigation is underway.
