APF ASI lynched in Mahottari

JALESHWOR: An injured APF ASI was dragged out of an ambulance and lynched by protesters in Jaleshwor, Mahottari, on Friday.

ASI Thaman Bahadur BK was injured in clashes with demonstrators who defied the curfew and staged rallies across the town. BK was being rushed to Janakpur in an ambulance when the ambulance got stuck at Bharampur in Mahottari.

The protesters asked the ASI to get out of the ambulance and set it ablaze. BK ran for his life into a nearby field but the protesters caught up with him and lynched him, said APF SP Dhirendra Pandey. Pandey said his body was recovered 500 metres from the place where ambulance had got stuck.

APF constable Raj Kumar Jha, Pappu Sah, Sushil Mishra and hospital employee Shiyaram Paswan, who were accompanying BK, managed to flee and are in touch with APF.
