Bomb hoax delays NAC Delhi-KTM flight

KATHMANDU: A bomb hoax has delayed a Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC)'s plane flying to Kathmandu from Delhi, on Thursday.

It has been learned that the flight no. RA 206, which was scheduled to fly from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, at 10: 40 am was delayed after the hoax.

Security personnel have been deployed for the security checking, an NAC official informed.

This was the third bomb scare for India in less than 24 hours. On Wednesday, the passengers and crew of an Air India plane were evacuated at the Bangkok's international airport after the hoax was reported.

As reported by the Associated Press, the Indian airport control room earlier received a call from a man to report a bomb on the Kathmandu-bound plane.

A similar incident was also reported on January 25.

Further details are yet to be confirmed.
