Community buildings will be constructed for the settlement of earthquake victims in every VDCs of Kavre district.

National Reconstruction Authority will be building community houses in each VDC of Kavre.

As many as 14 districts were badly affected by the devastating April 25 earthquake last year. The authority will be starting reconstruction work under the ministry for Urban Development and Building Construction.

A meeting of District Disaster Rescue Committee, Kavre, which was held on January 5 requested the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction to construct community buildings in 30 VDCs of the district.

Meanwhile, the Urban Development and Building Division Office, Kavre, has written to the VDC secretaries of Shikharaambote, Chaubas, Kalanti Bhumidanda, Chyanshikharka, Dhuseni Shivalaya, Simthali, Rayale, Chalan Ganeshsthan, Baluwapati Deupur and Phalametar to sign the agreement paper at the local level for providing lands to construct the buildings.

It is also said that 10 buildings will be constructed 20 days after receiving the land.

The buildings will be constructed in the centre of all wards with an estimated budget of 57 lakh.
