BHOJPUR: Property worth around Rs one million was reduced to ashes when a fire broke out at a house in Sijuwa-5 of Morang district on Tuesday.

Police said that the fire that broke out at the house of Manmaya Khatri engulfed Rs 40,000 in cash and other valuable goods.The incident occurred at around 6 am today.

The reason behind the fire was cooking gas leakage, police said.

The flame was contained with the help of locals, personnel from the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force (APF).
