Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri today said that the God had forged partnership and proximity between Nepal and India.

Addressing a workshop on tourism promotion jointly organised by Bharatpur Metropolis and Consulate General of India, Birgunj, at Chitwan’s Narayangad, Puri held that people-to-people relations between Nepal and India was very strong and inseparable. He stressed on the need to exploit people-to-people ties for tourism promotion for the benefit of both countries.

Ambassador Puri stressed on making publicity of tourist destinations. “Due to physical proximity, it is very easy for the people of one country to travel to another country,” Puri added. At the programme, Bharatpur Metropolis Mayor Renu Dahal said that her office was committed to promoting tourism in a planned way.

The programme was organised to promote tourism in Nepal’s mid-Tarai and India’s three states. The programme aims to promote tourism from Nepal’s Janakpur to Lumbini through Chitwan and India’s Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal.
