Mission Hospital gets its water from Bheri River

Mission Hospital successfully supplied drinking water from the Bheri River today after water crisis gripped the health facility in Chorjahari, Rukum.
The hospital management was able to supply the water through water pumps after two years of hard work.
The hospital suffers due to water crisis every year with the onset of summer season.
Chorjahari locals have been elated with the supply of water at the health facility.
Amrit Nepali, technician at the hospital, said India-made water pumps were used to supply water from the river. He said the machine could pump more than 2,000 litres water in a single minute.
Various other equipment worth two million rupees were also installed for the same.
The hospital receives more than 150 patients on a daily basis.
Both staff and patients at the hospital have benefited with the smooth supply of water to the hospital.
Administrator at the hospital, Dil Bahadur Giri, said the water could also be purified for drinking. “The water will also be distributed to locals after its supply is made systematic,” he informed.
The locals have been facing water crisis for want of water resources in Chorjahari and its adjoining areas.
Educational institutions, businesses, industries and various other profit as well as non-profit organisations at Chorjahari have been suffering due to the water crisis.
