Nepali Congress Kaski on Sunday urged its party activists not to be disappointed over the murder of the party’s youth leader Ramji Poudel in the district a few days ago.

Yagya Bahadur Thapa, Nepali Congress Kaski Chairperson, issued a statement and requested party leaders as well as activists not to lose hope at a time of deep grief arising from Poudel’s murder. The statement read, “As various baseless rumours and propaganda have surfaced which may weaken party unity as well as strength, we would like to humbly request NC activists to be united and ignore such groundless remarks.”

The statement drew serious attention of the concerned authority regarding delay in bringing the murderers to book. “As the party has made several formal as well as informal appeals, we strongly demand that the concerned authority intensify the search operation and initiate legal action against the murderer(s),” it read.

The statement also wished for immediate recovery of NC constituency 1 member Manoj Gurung and Nepal Tarun Dal Kaski Vice-president Narayan Hari Tiwari, who were injured in the attack.
