DHANGADI: Kanchanpur police officials said after Dilip Singh Bista, framed as the main accused by Kanchanpur’s former police chief in the rape and murder of Nirmala Panta, 13, from Bhimdatta Municipality, was found innocent, the district police office would start matching Panta’s DNA profile with DNA reports of people suspected in the incident.

DSP Krishnaraj Ojha at the Kanchanpur district police office said Bista’s release had made it easier for them to arrest other suspects and conduct investigation.

Kanchanpur CDO Taranath Adhikari said investigation into Panta’s murder would start from a new level.
