PM Dahal administers oath to four State Ministers
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal administered the oath of office and secrecy to four State Ministers at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Kathmandu on Sunday late afternoon.
Prime Minister Dahal appointed Shree Prasad Jabegu, Satyanarayan Bhagat, Radhika and Dhanamaya BK, all of them lawmakers from the Prime Minister Dahal's party CPN Maoist Centre, the State Ministers in the Cabinet.
Jabegu is assigned at the Ministry for Minister Federal Affairs and Local Development, Bhagat at the Energy Ministry and Tamang at the Ministry for Agriculture Development, while BK has not been given any portfolio.
Earlier today, President Bidya Devi Bhandari had administered the oath of office and secrecy to five minister at the Sheetal Niwas in presence of the Prime Minister and head of other constitutional bodies.
With the induction of four State Ministers, the Dahal-led Cabinet has 18 members now.
The major ally in the coalition government, Nepali Congress, however, is yet to send more ministers to the Cabinet.
